AI recipe generator
Pyrra keeps a live pantry of what you actually own, gives you AI recipes based on those ingredients, and tracks your nutrition from your real food. Its recipe generator starts from your pantry, so you cook with what you have on hand instead of shopping for a recipe you found online. Pyrra is an iPhone and iPad app (iOS 26.1+), it is free to use, and generating recipes is free.
Pyrra reads the live pantry you keep in the app, the real ingredients you own with their quantities, and generates recipes built around them. Because each recipe is assembled from your actual items, its nutrition is calculated from those ingredients rather than pulled from a generic database entry or estimated. You can log the finished meal in a tap, and the nutrition is snapshotted at that moment so it stays accurate even if your pantry changes later.
Every generated recipe carries a full nutrition breakdown computed from the ingredients it uses: calories and macros, plus Pyrra's deeper set of 70+ nutrients, including 13 vitamins, 12 minerals, 6 carotenoids, 9 fat subtypes, and 18 amino acids, sourced from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. The numbers reflect what you actually cook, not a lookup for a similarly named dish.
Turning your pantry into recipes costs nothing. There is an optional premium tier for people who want more, but you do not have to pay to generate recipes, and there are no ads on any tier.
A recipe search gives you dishes you then have to shop for. A preference-based meal planner builds a week from stated tastes, diet, and budget, not from the food already in your kitchen. Pyrra works the other way around: it starts from the ingredients you own and generates recipes and meal ideas you can make right now from what you already have, and it can prioritize ingredients that are expiring soon so nothing goes to waste. It generates individual recipes on demand rather than locking you into a fixed multi-day schedule.
To generate a recipe, Pyrra sends your pantry's ingredient list to its recipe engine. Your food logs, body profile, and health data are separate: they stay on your device and sync only through your own iCloud account, they never reach Pyrra's servers, and they are never sold. There are no ads on any tier.
