Frequently asked questions

What is Pyrra?

Pyrra is a private, on-device iOS app that keeps a live pantry of what you actually own, gives you AI recipes based on those ingredients, and tracks your nutrition — including 70+ nutrients — from your real food. Your logs, body profile, and health data stay on your device and sync through iCloud; they never reach Pyrra's servers.

How does Pyrra generate recipes?

Pyrra gives you AI-generated recipes based on what's in your pantry, with macros calculated from your real ingredients rather than guessed.

How many nutrients does Pyrra track?

Pyrra tracks 70+ nutrients — 13 vitamins, 12 minerals, 6 carotenoids, 9 fat subtypes, 18 amino acids, plus carbohydrate and fiber breakdowns, hydration, and caffeine — from USDA and Open Food Facts.

Does Pyrra sell my data?

No. Pyrra is privacy-first. Your logs, body profile, and insights stay on your device and sync through your own iCloud. They never reach Pyrra's servers, your data is never sold, and there are no ads.

Is Pyrra free?

Yes. Pyrra is free to use, with an optional premium tier. Generating recipes is free.

What devices does Pyrra support?

Pyrra is an iPhone app (iOS 26 and later). It integrates with Apple Health, iCloud sync, Live Activities, and Siri and Spotlight. It is in TestFlight now, with an App Store release coming.

Does Pyrra work offline?

Pyrra's pantry, logs, and nutrition tracking live on your device, so viewing and logging your existing data works offline. Generating new AI recipes and looking up new barcode scans or photo-logged meals need an internet connection.

How is Pyrra different from MyFitnessPal?

Pyrra keeps a live pantry of what you actually own, gives you AI recipes based on those ingredients, and tracks your nutrition from your real food — all on your device. See the full comparison in Pyrra vs. MyFitnessPal.

How is Pyrra different from Cronometer?
